• Absolutely Perfect!White House Lodge and the Island of Coll were perfect from start to finish. The house is amazing and big enough to accommodate, Four teenagers and three adults without us bumping in to each other. The house was very clean and everything you could need was there. White House Lodge was a very luxurious place to stay. You won't be disappointed at the quality of everything in the house. The waves were amazing for body boarding and we highly recommend going to see Carole in the town to hire Kayaks or purchase some of the unusual items she sells. The community centre was great for any rainy days as you can hire part of the hall for a couple of hours, to play table tennis, short tennis or basket ball. We were lucky that a Ceilidh took place while we were there and that was just such a good night. I thought four teenagers might get bored on a small Island with limited things to do, but they had a ball and they all said they would love to go back. And so would I.

  • OUTSTANDING 5 STAR EXPERIENCEWe had a much longed for week’s holiday on Coll at the end of March staying at the White House Lodge. Our jaws dropped the minute we walked through the front door. Everything is beautiful about White House Lodge. It is meticulously clean, fresh and elegant, infused with light, style and gorgeous design; truly state of the art luxury living. The renovation of the cottage has been expertly executed, nothing has been skimped upon or feels out of place; one senses the owners’ generosity throughout. A sparkling chandelier crowns the airy and spacious lounge area with its fabulous patio door views of the Atlantic Ocean. The Sonos music system is very cool - discreet speakers throughout the house with instant access to a world of music at your fingertips via the excellent Spotify. A highlight was long lavender soaks in the main bathroom’s deluxe deep tub, listening to some ambient Brian Eno on the Sonos . Not that we needed extra heating, the underfloor system works beautifully well, but you can’t beat putting a few logs onto the Morso wood burner for a cozy evening glow to go with a glass of wine. In the super- modern and well equipped kitchen it was a treat to use the highest quality fine bone china dining set, the Le Creuset cookware and we loved the clever induction hob. On a sunny morning we had coffee on rocking chairs on the decking accompanied by newly born calves frolicking, hares boxing and a Hen Harrier keeping a keen eye on his patch. This was a week to remember forever.

  • Just FantasticThis was our second stay on Coll but first in the White House Lodge. Loved it. House is a proper home from home including a bread machine and cake tins/ blender to make a cake which the kids loved. Bright and beautiful, there are even body boards which were better than ours for sand surfing - Cliad beach was best for that. As to any of the beaches, we were the only people on them! Lauchlan was easy to contact and really helpful in his replies especially when with ferry info - ours was delayed until the afternoon because of the weather. Keds were disappointed the ferry was not cancelled as they wanted to stay! Coll Hotel does the most delicious food and service was fab - they cooked off the menu for the kids. We also had a dog with us who just loved the freedom of running around vast beaches. Overall, a great and relaxing holiday. But book well in advance as they are booked out from April-October months in advance. P.S. We had 4G and good Vodafone signal in the house.

  • We missed all the bad weather! We loved Coll and the White House Lodge. We'd expected more of a battering from the weather and were very happy to have blue skies and sun every day, with not a drop of rain. While it had been somewhat stressful watching the weather reports and ferry cancellations in the run up to our holiday, once the extra sailing was confirmed for Friday 13th we relaxed and had a superb break, all be it a day and a half shorter than planned. All communication was helpful and speedy. Thank you
